Facilities & On Site Attractions
Our On Site Facilities include:
- Flush toilets and chemical disposal point
- Hot showers and private wash basins
- Family room
- Disabled toilet and wet room (ambulant or aided only)
- Separate laundry and washing-up rooms
- Pooch parlour – a wet room and warm shower for dogs
We have three fields with electric hook up points and we offer a charging facility for mobile phones and car batteries (for a small fee).
Our farm shop incorporates our campsite reception and is well stocked to meet campers’ needs, with a gas exchange service (Calor – butane and propane, and Gaz only). We offer a freezer block service, using our own freezer blocks.
There is a public telephone on site, alongside our mini garden centre.
Please note that we are a grass field site and do not have hard standings at present.
Bed & Breakfast accommodation is available at Norden House www.nordenhouse.com and Norden House Restaurant serves breakfast, light lunches, cream teas and evening meals
Children’s Play Area:
The site has a small play area which has been newly equipped for the 2010 season. It is situated in full view of the washing up room of Main Field Facilities; parents can get on with the chores whilst the children safely play under their watchful eye.
Pets Corner:
Not so much Pets Corner, as Pets everywhere! At no extra charge, a chance to see all kinds of animals and birds in close-up (many of them free-ranging). Anything from deer, donkeys, goats and pigs to peacocks, chickens, ducks and geese, rabbits and guinea pigs. There is also the possibility of seeing new-born calves and lambs at the right time of year.
Fishing:
A small natural pond for those who enjoy fishing and watching wild life. This is for exclusive use by our Campers; all we ask is that you respect our rules on keepnets, and barbed hooks and bait, and leave the area tidy.
